  1. Hypocrite • Noun • Imposter; faker Abigail is a hypocrite because she calls herself a “child of God,” yet she clearly does the Devil’s work.

  2. Traduce • Verb • To speak ill of; to slander Neighbors began to traduce their friends just for another acre of land during the Salem Witch Trials.

  3. Amiable • Adjective • Friendly; likeable Giles Corey is an amiable person because he talks to everybody.

  4. Extraneous • Adjective • Irrelevant; unrelated Giles’s extraneous account of not being able to pray when his wife was reading was enough to get her accused of witchcraft.
