  5. Environment and Society People modify the environment in Libya by creating a lot of rock work and structures. Libya’s natural resources are wheat, olives, peanuts, and soybeans.

  6. Uses of Geography • More than 90% of Libya is desert or semidesert. • Land areas is about 2,000,000 sq km • A lot of Libya’s land is irrigated due to hot and dry weather. • Fresh water is limited.

  7. 4 major ethnic groups Official languages are English, Maori, and Sign Language Human Systems • Dominant religion is Anglican followed by Roman Catholic. • Population: 4,173,460
