  2. CTEQ/Higgs workshop Nov 19 LPC as host Joey Huston leads 4th organizing meeting today. Marek Z. and Andrey F. agreed to serve as CMS reps to ensure we are well-represented at the workshop. Andrey will give the CMS talk. http://indicobeta.cern.ch/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=71344 News/General Green/Shipsey .1st Annual FNAL Holiday Party. Program at http://www.fnal.gov/directorate/Annual-Party/ It includes "potluck" dinner, skits, etc. We + CDF and D0 spokes have been asked to designate people to come up with a skit.  Volunteers?

E-JTERM Jan 5-9 42 registrants as of Noon today (many we know are coming have yet to register) many more will do so in the coming weeks EJTERM 2nd batch pre-EJTERM exercises released 3rd batch mature (GRID) will be presented by Sudhir & Eric today already being beta tested. 4th batch fitting, simple macro, accessing custom software (in process) Green/Shipsey

EJTERM Recall EJTERM structure short exercises 1st half of workshop longer exercises 2nd half of workshop We have the following outside-LPC commitments so far: short exercises: 1) Jeff Temple and Ken Rossato UMD 1 or 2 exercises HCAL info from collision data Details tbd 2) Nhan Tran JHU Alignment exercise plus a talk on alignment 3) Evan Friis UCDavis (tau and pixel expert)- TBD   4) Matthew Jones and David Silvers (Purdue) tracking efficiency I'm also still discussing with Rice, Lisbon, Cornell, Rochester, UCSB, Brown and a number of other groups. In addition we have  longer exercises from two of the three of us: “photons”  Yuri et al Rutgers  Vanessa Gaultney (FIU) and Tia Miceli (Davis)    Y(nS) cross section Ian, Nuno Leonardo, Zoltan Gecse, Yu Zheng Purdue  Each LPC group to develop an exercise (manpower from members of the group not based at LPC encouraged) asked for reports on your thinking at last weeks meeting. Let’s go around the room… Green/Shipsey

  6. EJterm In discussions with Rice, Lisbon, Cornell, Rochester, UCSB, Brown and a number of other groups. Will know more next week about further commitments. Each LPC group to develop an exercise (manpower from members of the group not based at LPC encouraged) asked for reports on your thinking at last weeks meeting.
