  1. SEVEN PILLARS TO BUILD YOUR HOUSE MATTHEW 7:21-27 Part 1

  2. Jesus is finishing up His “Sermon on the Mount.” He tells us that only those who do God’s will, will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Many will be surprised. Then He tells us the difference between a wise person and a foolish person. The wise man in the book of Proverbs also talks about building a house.

  3. Proverbs 9:1 Wisdom has built her house, she has set up her seven pillars. Pillar—A firm upright support for a superstructure. What are these pillars? Knowledge of God and His will. Close (intimate, active) relationship with God. Developing Godly family relationships. Preparation for specific life calling and purpose and for roles in life. Character Development Equip with tools to lean for life. Basic foundation of knowledge to function in society.

  4. Proverbs 9:1 Wisdom has built her house, she has set up her seven pillars. Everyone is building a spiritual house today. When the storms of life come and the winds begin to blow: Will your house stand? It depends on what pillars you are using for support. Let’s talk about seven pillars that we can use to build a house pleasing to God.

  5. Purpose/Plan I believe that everyone here on earth has purpose for being here. Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. “Every Life A Plan Of God” God has a plan for your life. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

  6. You need to find out the plan God has for your life. Then you need to strive to reach it. We need to set goals. Philippians 3:12-14 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

  7. Courage Noah was a man of courage. Abraham was not only a man of faith, but also a man of courage. Moses also must have been a man of courage. Joshua was told: Joshua 1:6, 7, 9 Be strong and courageous. Dare to be a Daniel. Paul must have been very courageous to go through the things he went through.

  8. II Corinthians 11:22-27 Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? So am I. Are they ministers of Christ? I speak as a fool I am more: in labors more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequently, in deaths often. From the Jews five times I received forty stripes minus one. Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep; in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.

  9. We should exhibit the same kind of courage these men had. I Corinthians 16:13 Be watchful, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong. Jude 3 Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to earnestly contend for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. We should always have the courage to stand up for: God Christ The church Righteousness

  10. Unselfishness At least one of the reasons the rich man ended up in torment was because he did not share what he had with Lazarus, Luke 16. The “rich farmer” in Luke 12 never considered the needs of someone less fortunate than himself. In Genesis 13 Lot thought selfishly, and choosing to live in “the well watered plains of Jordon” not considering the effects it might on him and his family. We should not be selfish, but instead think of the needs of others.

  11. Philippians 2:3-4 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Galatians 6:2, 9-10 Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. And let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not lose heart. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.

  12. Trust We must trust that God will do what is best for us. Psalms 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God; Psalms 37:1-5 Fret not yourself because of the wicked, be not envious of wrongdoers! For they will soon fade like the grass, and wither like the green herb. Trust in the Lord, and do good; so you will dwell in the land, and enjoy security. Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act.

  13. Do you trust in the fact that God will take care of you? Philippians 4:19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. This will take: Faith Patience

  14. WHO OR WHAT ARE YOU TRUSTING IN TODAY?
