  1. 5 APP DESIGN MISTAKES TO BE AVOIDED IN 2018

  2. HOLD THE CONSISTENCY BATON A different color and typography on every app screen confuse app users. Keep the consistency in app design to meet the standards of the overall brand theme. color and typography

  3. DON’T AVOID WALKTHROUGH In order to make the UIs intuitive, include walk through. Make the walkthroughs to fit the app naturally within the overall app design. Integrate graphics and animations to ensure better recall value.

  4. SKIPPING THE POWER OF THE ‘THUMB’ Make your app effortless by helping the app users to navigate the app with their thumb. The new smartphones have a screen size ranging from 5.1-inch to 5.5-inch. Thus thumb navigation has become a necessary UI element. Conduct the thumb mapping in the app development process. Pay attention to the button size and keep them accurate to avoid the glitch of unpleasant UI.

  5. DON’T APE YOUR COMPETITORS Don’t mistake the inspiration for plagiarism. You can get inspired from the app elements of your competitors. But don’t give a try to COPYING everything from tip-to-toe Explore the ideas and the possibilities and combine them with your ideas.

  6. DON’T OVERLOAD YOUR USERS Don’t make your app users mentally exhausted by filling them with too much info. Don’t expect your users to grasp the complicated UI instantly. Keep the sequence of information and actions across multiple screens to avoid content chaos. Use least elements and integrate most of the ‘white space’.
