  3. Medical Spanish …so what’s the point? Outcomes for the class: • Use basic Spanish in medical situations • Develop oral ability to engage in realistic dialogues in the hospital setting • Develop written ability to fill out medical forms • Learn vocab to… assess vital signs, do a basic medical interview, provide medication education, and discuss SxS • Also… present tense, past tense, commands, provide recommendations

  4. Attendance – ONE absence allowed (can be used for any class, except for the final) *November 11th– NO CLASS (Veteran’s Day!) *November 25th– NO CLASS (Thanksgiving Week!) • Quizzes – a short quiz each week focusing on the material learned the previous week but WILL include material learned from any of the previous weeks • Final Exam – Monday Decemner2 @ 6pm; Cumulative, both written & oral portion; Need 75% or higher to “pass”. Missing or failing final exam will result in an unsuccessful completion of this course. (Don’t be scared…it’s easy )

  5. Our Beautiful Certificates of Completion: Given at the last class (after the Final) to everyone that…1.Has not missed more than 1 class, and 2.Passed the final with 75% or better. SAMPLE
