What Does OGCIA Do? • Contracts • Responsible for negotiation and signature of financial and non-financial sponsored project contracts • Pre Award • Assist in obtaining and interpreting sponsor guidelines/instructions • Provide assurances, representations and certifications to sponsor when necessary • Review and process proposals for submission to sponsors • Review and assist with budgeting • Review grant proposals to ensure compliance with Federal, sponsor, institutional and UT System requirements

  4. What Does Post Award Do? • Initiate account setup • Expenditure monitoring • Budget Revisions • Changes in Project Status • No-cost extension • Change of PI • Process cost transfers • Provide oversight of cost sharing • Initiate account close out • Coordinate audits for sponsored projects

  5. Items of Note • Plan ahead • Route proposals and contracts in an accurate and timely manner • All award documents, grants and contracts should be sent to OPAA • Route expenditure documents to OPAA first • Policies and Procedures • New policies • Updated procedures and forms
