BCSI-12: Students will acquire basic knowledge and skills of multimedia/presentation software. a) Identify and explain multimedia/presentation graphics terminology. b) Plan and design basic presentations. c) Create, save, and print basic presentations. d) Apply animation to slides. e) Display and explain presentation to peers. f) Critique presentations.

Guidelines for using Lists • Use bullets when the order of the elements in the list is not important • Use numbers when the elements need to be in order, as in the steps of the process. • Use a font that is easy to read • Use between four and six short bulleted or numbered statements per slide • Create short statements that the speaker can explain in more detail during the presentation.

  5. Design tips • Use animation for impact, but only sparingly • Apply only one style of slide transition to your presentation. • Use animation and transitions to help your audience understand the content better, not just to entertain.

  6. Apply animation to slides. • The first step when applying animation is to select the words or object you would like to animate. • Then you would go to the 4th tab on your toolbar that says Animations and chose Custom Animation. • On the right hand side of your screen a box will appear that says custom animation and you click on the down arrow beside add effect. • Then you chose entrance, motion path, etc.
