  4. Mockernut Hickory is one of several common hickory trees in our area • They are a medium-sized trees, growing up to 80 feet tall. The Trunks can be up to two feet wide • Leaves are 8 to 10 inches long • Very hard and tough wood • Dark brown heart of the tree rest is light wood • Wood is used for baseball bats, furniture, tool handles, lumber

  5. End of summer now, early fall

  6. Our Mockernut Hickory Tree is a small tree that is still growing healthy and it has occurred a few changes as we enter the fall season. We have enjoyed going outside and following the changes of our tree and what happens to it as seasons change and what nature has affected it.
