  5. Vehicle Receipt (NEW!!!) • Effective February 1, 2012 agencies must document receipt of vehicles in AutoChoice • Supports accountability, efficiency and eliminates paper • Easier accountability of GSA Property (Vehicles) • Federal Property Management Regulation (FPMR) will be updated

  7. Law Enforcement (NEW!!!) • Customers can order Upfit Packages through the manufacturer (17F, 17R and 100L) • Options: • PUF2 – Red and Blue • FUFB – Blue • PUFR – Red • LBD – Delete Light Bar

  8. Law Enforcement (Update) • SIN 190-07 Upfitting of Government – Owned Emergency Response Vehicles • New Vendor: Leggett and Platt (Crown Industries) • Examples: Sirens, dog cages, consoles, light bars, radios, etc.

Emerging Technology / Alternative Fuel Vehicles (AFVs) • New Item Number 363E – 36 Passenger Medium Duty Electric Bus awarded to Capitol Coachworks, Inc. • Models available in AutoChoice • 24 Electric vehicles • 894 Alternative Fuel Vehicles • 29 Low Greenhouse Gas vehicles • 11 are conventional gas

  10. Emerging Technology / Alternative Fuel Vehicles (AFVs) (cont.) • Schedule 751 – Commercial Lease now includes Emerging Technology (Electric Vehicles) • Eight Multiple Award Schedules (MAS) Lease vendors to consider • Charging Stations can be found under SIN 272-105 New Technology

  11. Collaboration/Innovative Solutions • Automotive conducts partnership meetings with vendors on a quarterly basis • Customers encouraged to submit any concerns to GSA • Customers’ ideas welcomed • Customers’ future needs help to prepare for the next ordering season

Future Enhancement to Customer Status • Effective February 2013, customers will be able to view: • Gross Vehicle Weight (GVWR) • Color • Trim • Fuel Type • Grams Per Mile (GPM) (where applicable) • Miles Per Gallon (MPG) (city/highway/combined (light vehicles)) • Will apply to final vehicle produced

  13. Sustainability • Effective May 1, 2012 paper orders must be submitted to vehicle.buying@gsa.gov for the following: • Express Desk • MIPR / 1781 • Multiple Award Schedules (MAS) • Non-Standards

  15. Ordering Timeline • Vehicles available 365 days per year • Orders can be placed 24/7 via AutoChoice • Check availability dates via AutoChoice or Vehicle Availability List (VAL) • “Rules of the Road” provides important updates

Preparing for End of Fiscal Year (2012) Last Day to Order • Non-Standards – July 6, 2012 • Additional Requirements (AREQs) and orders with more than 18 options – August 10, 2012 • MAS Orders Processed by GSA Automotive – August 24, 2012 • Express Desk – August 24, 2012 • Expiring FY12 Funds (AutoChoice) – September 28, 2012 (11:00pm EST)

  18. Multiple Award Schedules (MAS) Ordering • New MAS procedures – letter dated March 15, 2012 • Highlights: • Encourages use of e-Buy • Details instructions on how to conduct Open Market purchases • Ensures competition among at least three vendors
