PGPMAX: Gaining Momentum Post Graduate Programme in Management for Senior Executives Founding class completes programme successfully; Second cohort now underway Member of the World Executive MBA Council • Executive MBA equivalent • Targeted at student with an average of 18 years of work experience • Part-time format • Classes at ISB for a week, every 6 weeks

  16. HISTORY • Indian school of business popularly known as ISB was started in 1996 by group of businessmen and academicians. Co-founders Rajat Gupta and Anil Kumar (both Mckinsey & Company) and directed teams of Mckinsey consultants to start the school. Next ,ISB established formal partnerships with international business schools such as – WHARTON,KELLOGG (school of management)and LBS(london business school). Rajatgupta became the school’s 1st chairman and was succeeded by Adigodrej as chairman in 2011.

  17. The Andhra Pradesh government was pivotal in sanctioning ISB’s 260 acre campus in september1998. • The foundation stone was laid in Hyderabad in 1999 and was inaugurated by then PM of India ATAL BIHARI VAJPAYEE in 2001.

  18. CAMPUSES • ISB has two campuses, one in Hyderabad and a new campus in Mohali. • Hyderabad campus- • Spread over 260 acres. The heart of the campus is the academic centre,which houses lecture theatres ,classrooms,facultyoffices,the learning resource centre(LRC) and a 500 seat auditorium.

  19. MOHALI CAMPUS- • ISB’s mohali campus commenced operation on april 14,2012. • Offers post graduate programme and additional short term executive education programs. • Spread over 70 acres the entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled.

  20. COURSES OFFERED • POST-GRADUATE PROGRAMME IN MANAGEMENT(PGP)- • It is a one year, full –time residential programme. • It is also known as the Flagship programme of ISB. • Known for the depth and rigour in its pedagogy.

POST –GRADUATE PROGRAMME IN MANAGEMENT FOR SENIOR EXECUTIVES (PGPMX)- • This programme is mainly useful to senior executive as it is a part time programme who are unable to take a sabbatical from work to attend the full-time programme. • Spread over 15 months. • Equivalent to executive MBA and is designed on a schedule that minimizes disruption of work and personal pursuits.

  22. 3.MANAGEMENT PROGRAMME FOR FAMILY BUSINESS(MPAB)- • Been especially designed to groom the younger generation of family-owned business for leadership . 4. YOUNG LEADER’S PROGRAMME (YLP)- • Involves the selection of graduates for mentoring over a period of 2 years while they work after completing their graduation.These individuals also awarded a scholarship of Rs1lakh during the programme.

SCHOLARSHIPS • THE ISB doubled the total outlay of student scholarships to Rs8 crore for students last year. • These scholarships are awarded on both merit and financial need basis to students. • Selected on the basis of academic and professional performance as well as personal qualities such as leadership,integrity,and community service.

FEES • ISB charges a fee of Rs 20 lakh(roughly) for its flagship one year Exeecutive MBA course. • The working experience of students here ranges from 2 to 25 years,such is the standard of this institute. • If you were wondering about the fees, then you should also think about the returns after completing the programme.

  25. PLACEMENTS • In 2012 -13 placement season,348 companies visited the campus and offered a total of 631 jobs to 573 students. Some students got more than 2 offers. • There were also 92 international offers. • Salaries offered are probably better than anywhere else in india,with the average package being 18.8 lakhs per annum. • Minium package was 13.4 lakhs per annum and two students got the highest package with 1.24 crores per annum.

CROWD AND CAMPUS LIFE • The average age at ISB is about 30,which means that all students are already executives and have solid professional backgrounds. • Thus the campus life is more about high level networking than simply making friends. • Although one can surely make some good friends too,because the crowd is more or less like you.
