  2. Empress Wie’s Lifespan • The birth date of Empress Wie has been classified as unknown. • She died on July 21st, 710 as a victim of a revolt in her palace, commanded by a prince, who was later crowned emperor, Xuanzong.

  3. Nationality and Birthplace • Empress Wei was born in China. • She also lived during the Tang Dynasty.

Reasons for Popularity • Empress Wie was known for trying to make it clear to citizens of the Tang Dynasty that women could wield considerable power at the highest levels of Chinese. • Empres we was also famous for poisoning the her husband,son of Empress Wu, and placed her own son on the throne in the attempt to seize power. • Her plan of having power was unsuccessful and led to her death.

He was crowned Prince Yide after his father was restored to the throne in 705 AD. • Li Chongrun died on October 8th, 701 and was buried in the tomb below. He was also married to a lady by the name of Lady Pei.
