Task • In assigned small groups, research and create a “Living Portrait” about a specific term of the “Industrialization/Enlightenment/Scientific Revolution” • Present a silent visual representation of the key points about your term, paying attention to why they are relevant today and why they should be studied in history • DOK: 2-3 Standard: 1 Learning Target: I can CREATE a visual representation of a historical vocabulary that demonstrates the main idea.
Roles • Leader is responsible to ensure that every group member is participating in the activity, settles all internal disputes, and monitors the group’s time. • Speaker is the only member of the group who is permitted to speak, while being a part of the Portrait. • Artist is responsible for all visuals and any artwork needed to benefit your portrait. • Researchers (2-3) conduct all necessary investigations to answer the specific questions. Props: • Everything and everyone is a prop, with the exception of the designated teacher. • You will be provided a single piece of butcher paper.
