  2. Current Status • Aligned ASN.1 syntax in ISO/IEC 18033-2 (Asymmetric Encryption) draft with RSA-KEM I-D • ANSI X9.44 document is still progressing in alignment with RSA-KEM I-D; syntax and algorithms are stable (modulo some edits)

  3. Outstanding Issues • X9.44 needs text on assurances of validity of public key, and of possession of private key as well as security considerations

  4. Next Steps • Expect substantial completion of both ISO/IEC 18033-2 and X9.44 in mid-2005, with formal balloting and publication process to continue perhaps into 2006 • Meanwhile, RSA-KEM I-D will be updated to keep track, and PKCS #1 may also be updated at some point
