  1. AFFSA Positions to XOO-ARA International Functions • Coordinates intl activities impacting USAF interests in airspace, ATC & equip • Military rep to US Delegation at ICAO Regional Air Navigation Meetings and Regional Planning and Implementation Gps (PIRGs), EUROCONTROL, and NATMC various subgroup meetings held at various venues throughout the world. • DoD focal point for ROA ops in the NAS, host-nation and intl airspace. Direct activities of DoD/FAA Working Gp on ROA Ops in the NAS. Represents USAF/DoD in formal groups chartered to address future ROA ops • Monitor USAF-wide programs to ensure compliance w/current/proposed guidance and trends concerning national and intl ATC and comm & nav procedures. • Provide advice and assistance on air traffic control, NAS matters, and aviation-related international affairs. • Functional area expert and advisor to HQ USAF for development of procedures concerning ATM issues worldwide. • Monitors National Airspace System plan w/ FAA and presents DoD input. • Screens documents coordinated through IGIA process for impact on USAF flight ops.

AFFSA Positions to XOO-ARA Functional Responsibilities • Airfield Operations Officer, ATC and AM career field managers; ensures AF manpower and staffing requirements meet operational needs. • Analyzes programs and evaluates impact on AO career fields. • Reviews and evaluates MAJCOM requests for waivers to USAF directives and makes recommendations to Air Staff. • Force Development POC • Coordinates with AETC to develop and maintain training school curriculum for ATC and AM. Also CDCs for AM. • OPR for AO Manning Standard (Capabilities Based Manpower Determinate)
