  2. Teeing Off • Tee anywhere between the markers (not in front) and no more than two club-lengths behind the front edge of the markers • Color differences in markers

  3. Play it as it lies • Can’t move, press down, or break anything growing except to fairly take your stance

  4. Out of Bounds • This applies to anywhere outside the boundary of the golf course • Normally out of bounds is marked with a series of white post • What if you hit out of bounds?

  5. Lost Ball • Provisional Ball

  6. Free Drop • When can you lift your ball and move it without penalty?

  7. Unplayable Ball • Can deem a ball unplayable anytime and anywhere, except in a water hazard • Examples – ball up against a tree or under a bush

  8. On the Putting Green • What if you are putting and your ball strikes another ball or the flag? • Marking your ball?

  9. In the Rough • What can you remove? • When is there a stroke penalty?

  10. Whiff • Is a whiff considered a one stroke penalty stroke? • Answer – Yes because you tried to strike the ball, it was considered in play.
