  1. Turmeric, 90% of which is grown in India and known as the golden spice of India has been around since 3000 BC. This root continues to be an essential ingredient in modern Indian cooking. Turmeric is known for its anticarcinogenic, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties has been known for eons to be an efficient solution for any stomach ailment. After all, it is known to stimulate digestion, reduce intestinal permeability and support the liver. Turmeric powder contains Curcumin, a biologically active compound which has significant benefits for the human body. In fact, Turmeric is one of the main ingredients in any store face pack. Curcumin in the turmeric powder helps to soothe skin irritations, is an effective way to treat burns and relieve the sting from a sunburn. The antioxidant properties of turmeric are known to help in skin rejuvenation, and it is with this in mind that turmeric helps in anti-aging face packs. Listed below is a few easy to follow home recipes that will help you to rejuvenate your skin while giving you the satisfaction of having made the face pack yourself!

  2. The Basic Recipe Ingredients: Two spoonfuls of turmeric Two spoonfuls of honey, organic honey is preferred Two spoonfuls of yogurt, organic yogurt is preferred In case the final mask is still too thin for face application you can add chickpea flour to thicken the paste. Most often though, adding more turmeric or yogurt depending on the thickness required will do the trick. Preparation: Start by placing the turmeric powder in a small bowl and then add the honey and yogurt. Mix well until you are left with a thick paste. Remember as this mixture is for face application, you need to ensure that the face pack does not drip from your face once applied.

  3. Prepare the face: Once the face pack is ready, you will need to prepare your face to get the maximum benefits from the turmeric face pack. Following the following rules before application of the face pack: • Remove any makeup • Wash your face with soap to remove any dirt and sweat • Wipe your face dry • Tie your hair to ensure that does not fall on the face Application of the turmeric face pack Apply the face pack evenly to cover your face. Ensure that you do not miss any spots. Typically be careful to cover the area around the eyes and over your nose. Ensure a reasonably thick layer is formed on your face and leave the application to dry.

  4. The best way to know that the face pack has been on for long enough is when you feel the lack of moisture from the face pack, and the face starts to feel dry, and the skin stretched. At this point, typically 20 – 30 minutes into the treatment wash you face with clean, cool water to remove the turmeric application. Pat dry your face with a towel to finish the treatment. Immediately you will feel your skin is soft and a mellow glow will be noticeable. Repeat this easy treatment every few days for maximum benefit of Turmeric’s anti-aging properties. Thank You...
