  3. Introduction Without a doubt, our immediate society has different controversies regarding the use of technology. In this presentation we will explore and survey the different impacts of ICT in our college.

  4. Profile ( Gender ) As it appears on this chart, The indicator has reached its maximum for the males . That indicates that girls were not interested at answering the survey.

  5. Profile (Age) Here we show the various different ages that contributed in our survey. This is important since it shows the effect and interest of technology towards the older and younger audiences.

  6. Qualification As indicated above the higher the student qualification from different fields in our college the more they are interested in the field of ICT.

  7. Qualifications (contd.) Portrayed above are more detailed statistics of the student qualifications.

  8. Preferences We also managed to survey the various device preferences of different students and what is found most useful to the community.

  9. Purposes There are many purposes for using technology nowadays. We have indicated the different usage purposes of our community.

  10. Operating Systems We managed to identify the most common operating system amongst students based on their ease and usability.

  11. Mobile OS Listed above are the various different types of OS used by mobile phones, each with their own different services and usability methods and design.

  12. Mobile Usage People often prefer to use more than one phone for multi-purposes (usually business and personal reasons). Some prefer to use advanced android phones that maybe more complicated but suffice for multi-purpose use.

  13. Time Consumption Different people have different activities that force them to use their computers. We have managed to collect data that indicates the measure of reliance which people have towards computers shown by the time spent on their PCs.

  14. Coping Difficulties People often find it difficult to cope with new peripherals in terms of handling and setup. Shown are the statistics for people coping with new devices.

  15. Book technology Different technologies have been developed for e-learning, including E-books. Some people find that sort of technology to be audacious since it resorts to a different kind of demeanor over the old handy text book.

  16. E-learning E-learning has been a common trend in recent years, but not all students find it appealing or informative.

  17. Online Activity Students have a vast spectrum of options when dealing with the internet. Charted are the multiple activities induced by many users.

  18. AAST Website Occasionally, college students log on the main website to navigate through the different services provided by the academy.

  19. History Students log on many different sources of information to quote or learn more on a subject. Each online domain has their own database preferred by different uses as a reliable source of information.

  20. Internet Access There are several hardware peripherals used to access the internet in our age. Students rely on different means to access the internet portably or prefer fast access in their own comfort zone.

  21. Portable Internet Internet access has been upgraded over the years to be used over portable devices

  22. Internet Usage Time This Chart shows how much time do students spend using internet and it shows us that more than 50% spend from 5-7 hours or more which is a lot of time and that shows that internet became a big part of students life

  23. E-mail Checking This chart shows that students communication with others is not e-mail since more than 75% only check their email from 1-3 times daily. They diverted do other communication ways like social Networks

  24. Social Networks We asked students which social network they use most and it shows that facebook comes number one with very high percentage on some use Twitter while Google + and myspace are not that famous

  25. News Sources This chart shows 96% of students depend on websites to get their news. This is a very high rate which shows that old fashioned ways to get news is not used any more

  27. Storage Modes Although the cloud computing is developing really fast, this chart shows that most of the students store their data in their hard drives. They are not used to the cloud services and another reason may be that they are afraid of putting their data somewhere not in their reach.

  28. Online Purchasing The chart proves to us that the majority of students haven’t started using online purchasing methods , because of inexperience in that field and fear of losing their funds . But as shown 30% of a total of 26 students sometimes buy goods online which proves that they are capable of changing and coping.

  29. Conclusion ICT plays a major role in our lives. It is being used in every aspect of our daily life as students , whether in the field of education , entertainment and communication ICT will continue to grow in our developping countries because people are getting used to it day by day.
