  3. The Egyptians main crops were barley and wheat. These crops were used to make beer and breads, both of which were a large part of Egyptian culture. Due to the climate, it was not possible to grow crops that we grow here in the Midwest. Popular Crops

  4. In the early part of Ancient Egypt, items were traded in exchange for other items. As the civilization advanced, they seem to have transitioned into paying for items with gold, silver, and copper coins. There are ancient records that show recorded numbers of what items cost, which shows an advanced number system. At the marketplace, Egyptians could buy everything they needed in day to day life.
