Positive aspects Facilitate trade Regulate trading Judge deviations and violations Eliminate unnecessary trade restrictions Allow safe guard measures Negative aspects Agriculture trade unagreed upon sofar Subsidies targeting over production No control measures on indirect subsidies especially cheap natural resources WTO as is may not be a solution to importing countries Freedom of trade is better than free trade ِRole of WTO

Population increase requires more animal products Increased standards of living requires safer animal products Limitations of increased production in many countries of the world Need to plan increased production in all regions with regional cooperation Arab countries – a regional entity must: Maximise investment in animal and plant production in Sudan, Morocco, Algiers, Tunisia, Iraq and Syria This requires special agreements via the Arab League ِRegional Cooperation in Animal Production

Limitation of feed production Limitation of appropriate locations Smuggling from Syria ( cheaper source) High cost of production Reduction of protective measures Basic conditions for increased animal production: Resumption of effective import taxes Control borders with Syria Change bilateral trade agreements Contract farming Animal Production in Lebanon
