The AERT Program, led by Dr. Jimmy Tickel and the NCDA & CS, aims to bridge the gap for farmers and agricultural communities affected by natural disasters. Our mission includes providing essential support immediately post-disaster, with a focus on local-level engagement. Key features include a 24-hour emergency hotline, quick damage assessments, and coordination of resources. With the establishment of Ag Emergency Response Teams (AERTs), we facilitate the mobilization of volunteers and resources to address key tasks such as farm access, harvestability assessments, and debris removal.
