  4. Intern-Core • Name – Amanpreet Singh • Organization - Vakil Mehta Sheth Consultants Pvt. Ltd. (VMS) • Location – Mumbai • Profile - Structural Engineering • Stipend - Rs. 10k pm

Hokkaido University (Japan) • Name – Shubham Gupta • Location –  Sapporo City, Hokkaido • Funding Organization: CEED, Hokkaido University • How to apply- A direct request mail to the concerned professor. Applications have no specific time to start. So start as early as possible. • There has been a positive response from the university in terms of internship from last 3 years. Good Opportunity  • Stipend- 200000 Yen (Rs. 120000) for all expenses!

  7. Apping • Prepare a good Cover/Motivation letter and a CV. • Target universities which have signed MoUs with IITK. • Initially focus apping in Asian countries like Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, China, South Korea etc. • Don’t do spamming. • Response rate is low • So, keep trying until you succeed

MITACS – Globalink • Research opportunity in Canadian universities (by Canadian govt) • A lot of other activities like workshops, webinars etc • ONE of the best funded research internship for our dept • Application procedure: Online application (KEEP CHECKING the website) • Recommendation from a faculty was required • Pre-final year students are eligible • CPI criteria: 8+ can apply • CPI NOT THE ONLY CRITERIA, a lot depends on the application and resume

  10. DAAD • How to Apply- Program opens in August. First step is to get invitation letter from German professor by requesting them for internship offer. Then fill out the forms, get one recommendation and send it by last week of October. • Stipend and other facility- Travel allowance, monthly stipend, industrial trip may be offered.
