  2. Eye Twitching It is a movement of the eyelid usually the upper lid every few seconds for a minute two. Los Angeles-based ophthalmologist says eye spasms is an irritation nothing else, 9 out 10 times.

  3. What causes eye twitching? Stress - The main culprit: Twitching eye resolves when stressful condition ends. Excessive intake of caffeine and alcohol: It's stimulants can trigger twitching eye, cut intakes of caffeine and alcohol to get rid of it. Eye Strain (Give your eyes a break!): Don’t strain eyes by not using glasses or by staring computer for long hours. Mineral Deficiencies (Are you magnesium deficient?): Eat more magnesium rich foods

  4. Dry Eyes - due to computer screens, contact lenses and by intakes of some medicines. Fatigue (Don’t exert yourself too much!): Give a rest to body, get some sleep. Allergies: Histamine can cause twitching eyes, it releases due to continually rubbing eyes.
