  1. MOON PHASES By:Kim

  2. Each month our Moon passes through eight phases. These phases are named after how much of the moon we can see, and whether the amount visible is increasing, or decreasing each day. And did you know the Moon rotates anti-clockwise from the south pole and clockwise from the north pole, so from Indonesia the moon rotates anti-clockwise.

  3. Causes of moon phase {what cause Moon Phase} • Moon phases are caused by changes in the moon's position from the sun and Earth as it revolves around Earth • The Moon's Phases are a result of the moon's orbit around the earth as it reflects the sun's light

  4. Describe how Moon Phase happen

  5. We see the Moon because of the Sun’s Light

  6. The light areas are mountanins called “Highlands”, and the dark areas are called “maria”

  7. New Moon: It’s looks dark or not visible because there is no light or sunlight reflection on the spot facing the Earth NEW MOON

  8. Waxing Crescent: can be seen after the New Moon, but before the 1st Quarter Moon. The illuminated crescent grows larger until the moon looks like a Quarter of it is lighted. This is also the opposite of Wanning Crescent but the part that is lighted is the Right part Waxing Crescent

  9. 1st Quarter:It looks 1 part bright and 1 part dark and the bright side is the 1 saw to the Earth. It’s like that because the Sun given light to that part, what I mean is when you see the moon from this picture you see the dark spot so that means the other part is the 1 getting the sunlight and the 1 that is facing the Earth. This is like the last quarter only this 1 the part lighted is the right part since the last Quarter is the left part lighted 1st Quarter

  10. Waxing Gibbous: the word gibbous means more than a half full. This moon can be seen before the Full Moon and after the 1st Quarter. More than half of the moon is illuminated . Also this phase is the opposite of of Wanning Gibbous only the part that is lighted is the right part. Waxing Gibbous

  11. The phase we see are created by the light and the dark areas on the moon’s surface. Also it’s like that because of the position . Also it is given enough sunlight to the 1 whole part of the moon. As you see you think I’m wrong but actually I think I’m right because the sun gives many sunlight and the Moon is behind Earth, what I mean is that as you se the Sun is big and it doesn’t only give Earth Sunlight it also gives the other planets behind or infront of it and the Moon is behind Earth so it means that Moon is given many Sunlight and besides the moon is also facing the Sun {Moon behind Earth then behind sun and their in the same line Full Moon

  12. Waning Gibbous: the word gibbous means more than a half full. This moon can be seen after the Full Moon but before the Last Quarter Moon. More than the half the moon is lit up or lighted. Also this phase is the opposite of Waxing Gibbous because the part that is lighted is the right part not the left part Waning Gibbous

  13. Last Quarter:looks 1 part bright and 1 part dark and the bright side is the 1 saw to the Earth. It’s like that because the Sun given light to that part, what I mean is when you see the moon from this picture you see the dark spot so that means the other part is the 1 getting the sunlight and the 1 that is facing the Earth. This phase is like the 1st Quarter only the 1st Quarter lighted part is the right part and since this part is the Left part lighted. Last Quarter

  14. Waning Crescent: the Moon can be seen after the Last Quarter Moon and before the New Moon. The Crescent will grow smaller and smaller every day, until the Moon looks like a mirror image of the Waxing Crescent. For another sentence from the previous sentence is that this phase is the opposite of the Waxing Crecent because this phase the part that is lighted is the left part. Waning Crescent

  15. Impact of Moon Phase to ourself
