  1. Allowing Customers to Host Parties at YourRestaurant You will likely have to consider if you want to be involved in offering space at your restaurant for people to host parties or not. This can be a great way to generate more business though and to make a nice profit from their event. People are always looking for a great restaurant when they want to host a birthday party or other type of gathering where they will have a large crowd. This is a matter of a personal choice, so you will need to decide if you want to involve yourself in it. While it can be profitable, it can also be very time-consuming. You are also going to have to take a close look at how your restaurant is set up. Is there any place available for such events to take place? Can you install a sliding door to block off a portion of the restaurant to give them some privacy?

  2. Ensure to segregate the party from the rest of your guests You definitely want to have a way to segregate the party from the rest of your guests at the restaurant. This way those at the party can have their fun in a more intimate setting. Your other guests won’t feel so bothered by what is taking place around them either. It is a good idea to have some set rules in place for the use of the area to host a party at your restaurant as well. This way both you and the guests will know what can be expected to take place. While you do have the right to charge them a fee forUsing The Area Of Your Restaurant, you will find it books faster if you don’t. You will still make a good profit from the amount of food and drinks that those in attendance are purchasing. Find out if the host will be footing the bill or if each guest will be paying for their own. You may want to offer a discount if one person is paying for it. Make sure you include a nice gratuity for the staff taking care of them as well.

  3. Ensure you have a plenty of staff to deal with these events It is very important that you have a plenty of staff to handle these types of parties. You are going to have regular guests in your restaurant at the same time. It is not reasonable to think that your regular staff will be able to take care of both things at the same time. If the host of the party isn’t happy with the service, you can be sure they won’t book with you again. If your regular customers are left waiting because of the party they may not come back again either.

  4. Ensure to book the parties scrupulously The process for booking the parties needs to be carefully considered. It is best if only one or two people are in charge of it. This way, problems with scheduling can be avoided as much as possible. You don’t want to create issues for those that have trusted you to help them have a very successful party.

  5. Ensure to get a name and a contact number While booking the party, make sure you get a name and a contact number. You also need to find out how many people to expect for the event. This is going to help you be prepared in the kitchen and with your wait staff. You may have a time limit for the parties in your restaurant or you can allow them to tell you how much time they will need to complete it. Generally, a couple of hours at least should be allotted. Offer a great discount for a large target group You will need to decide if you will have the guests at the parties order off of the regular menu. You may be willing to offer a discount for a large group in order to get them to come in and each there. Discuss the issue of them bringing in other items as well. You may discover they want to bring along a cake and some ice cream for the event. If you are in agreement to this, offer a place to store them until they are ready to use them.
