Best Cambridge Boarding International School

Each day is a summing up of learnings. I joined the team at the Best Cambridge Boarding International School named The Plenum School because I was sincerely impressed with the caliber of our members. Teachers here share a bond of love with the children and I find this experience compelling. I stand with the vision of our school board and I believe we are on the path to a lot of learning in education. First, let me tell you my story.

  1. LEARNING EDUCATION WITH THE BEST CAMBRIDGE BOARDING INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL17Jun Each day is a summing up of learning. I joined the team at the Best Cambridge Boarding International School named The Plenum School because I was sincerely impressed with the caliber of our members. Teachers here share a bond of love with the children and I find this experience compelling. I stand with the vision of our school board and I believe we are on the path to a lot of learning in education. First, let me tell you my story. I began as parent teacher, with a passion for English untamed by any other calling. This drew me towards children and I observed my own children run in and out of a school that appeared to nurture their dreams. I was perplexed, because an upbringing in India’s busiest metropolis seemed to have hidden the sparkle in my own schooling.

  2. Beginning directly with grades AS and IG, I returned to the mysteries of English language, as I delved into a syllabus we all found challenging. As I proceeded to teach Business and take up other subjects along the way, I was completely bowled over by the level of practical application and in-depth corrections demanded by Cambridge curricula. After seven years with some great minds in education, I have benefited from intense method training at my first school and thereafter gained exposure to the commerce of schools. What is close to my heart though is the very idea of “School”. That very moment, the thought of The Plenum School, the Best Cambridge Boarding International School comes in mind. Individuals perceive themselves variously during succeeding phases in life. When children experience successes at school, they gain the confidence to weave expectations for the future. And this can be done well if the school nurtures their potential by nourishing the mind. The Plenum school, is a Boarding School in India, enables children to look beyond. Many metaphors exist, though in reality, it is only the child who knows what he or she is like. Children see in themselves many images, that later enhance to allow occupations and interests. It is not any one activity or a string of certificates that can define a child’s potential. Children who have experienced art, environment and technology, as much as they have enjoyed sports and adventure, begin to see themselves in each of these spheres. They perceive that they enjoy each vocation and can contribute equally alongside their teachers and peers.

  3. This is a confidence sorely required in our times, when internet has blurred all the boundaries. It is no longer a generation of science or commerce streams. Additionally, we are in an era where multiple skills lead to a variety of vocations, all simultaneously fostered. How then is a child to advance his prospects, if he continues to think in terms of single-minded careers? Is it really enough to teach subjects and assess competencies on paper? What if children are their own assessors – if they review and revise their own performance and goals? Perhaps the teachers at The Plenum School, remain to point out every direction that the child’s personality may tend towards. To nourish the imagination is to nourish the mind. To enable the space, we need a school; to ensure direction, we need the curriculum. What if the method brings child speak to the main? At The Plenum School, an International boarding school, our discussions with children are equally productive and research is not the only pro-active method to choose. In essence, my take-away is that children learn instinctively and the environment sparks Learning. As friend and facilitator, my challenge, At is to enable children to stay focused, learn heuristically, participate in all school activities and still return to task and deliver at exam level. As a method, Project-Based Learning and Vertical Grouping enable holistic understanding of concepts and their application. These are the virtual reflection of life experiences, as we see at offices and amongst friend groups. It would be an ideal and dynamic classroom, where children of age groups, rather than ‘grades’ initiate inquiry for a mutually beneficial learning goal. For instance, a child who

  4. prefers learning through projects may engage the interest of another inclined toward theory. Student Voices are the very fabric of this style of learning, where the values, opinions, beliefs, perspectives, and cultural backgrounds of students influence instructional design and delivery. My Vision for our students at The Plenum School, an International Boarding School, is that they step into careers as inclusive individuals, share ideas and compassion, carry well-honed personalities, and be able and willing to lead the world from the front.
