  2. Why I am Interested In This Job • Forensic Science is a field of science in which works with DNA samples in order to solve a crime. Science is one of my favorite subjects, this job would enable me to work with science everyday. • Secondly, I would like to be a forensic scientist because I would be able to help close a crime. • Lastly, I would aspire to become a forensic scientist because, I would be able to help people. A Day in the Life of a Forensic Scientist • A forensic scientist tests pieces of evidence such as DNA, the surroundings of the crime scene, and anything that may be relevant to the case. • Forensic Scientists also testify in court. They present the evidence found in court to make sure that the offender is punished for their actions. • Forensic scientists also test documented evidence. They look a documents written by or to the victim in order to support the case.

  4. Education and Training of a Forensic Scientist • A forensic scientist must have at least a bachelor’s degree in forensic science • A 4 year college education is required.   5. Sample Career Path • Level 1- $35,000-$45,000 salary. Learning the basics and training to become a forensic scientist. • Level 2- experienced forensic scientist. $50,000-$85,000 salary. Testifying in court, and analyzing evidence. • Level 3- Forensic Lab Director. $80,000-$100,000 salary.
