The "Out of the Dark" program, developed by NSW Corrective Services and supported by Melbourne City Mission, focuses on women in custody who have experienced family violence and domestic abuse. This psycho-educational initiative raises awareness of the impact of violence on women's criminality, offering six core sessions, along with four additional tailored sessions on family law, community supports, and self-care. The program emphasizes recovery and personal growth, providing participants with the tools to redefine their lives and strengthen their futures.
