This week in class, students will enhance their reading skills focusing on characterization, summarization, fact vs. opinion, and predicting. In Math, we will continue our unit on measurement, emphasizing elapsed time and reviewing capacity with “Gigantic G.” Language Arts will involve revising and editing previous compositions, while Science will cover the moon's effects on Earth. In Social Studies, we’ll begin the Indian Wars lesson. There are no new vocabulary words, and due to a short week, there will not be a spelling list. Reminder: No school on Feb 6-7 for teacher workdays.
