  1. Create a functional box with a lid using the slab method ( see slab box under techniques ppt. ). • Lid must have a handle and ridge underneath so it will not slide off. Ridge can be made with coils or slabs and must be smaller than interior edge of box. • Design of the box must depict a real life object that has a box-like form. For example a book or sandwich. • Box must have angles and cannot be completely round. • Dimensions cannot exceed 8 inches in any direction. • Think outside of the box. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahah!

  2. BASIC CERAMIC BOX FORM WITH LID AND HANDLE.

  3. Another ceramic box with a different take on using angles.

  4. Appliance or technology objects would work well for a standard box shape.

  5. A normally large object would create an interesting contrast as a small intimate box.

  6. Obvious box forms would work great as long as you pay attention to the details.

  7. Food offers a lot of fun possibilities. A triangle form would work well for this assignment.
