  2. Do We Really Need It? Most of the kids in grade 5 gave up one of their most used electronic devices for...Do We Really Need It?

  3. Safety Hazards!!!!!!!!!!!!! don’t have wires with electricity going through it in water. don’t plug in too many things all at once. make sure that your cords are not frayed. don’t stick anything into an outlet, except plugs.

  4. Phantom Power One person from grade 5 went to each classroom and wrote down what was plugged-in in each classroom.

  5. Energy saving tips, 1:Turn off lights when you leave a room. 2:Pack your dishwasher until the end of the week. 3:Don’t leave everything plugged in. 4:Get energy efficient light bulbs. 5:Carpool with others, like friends. 6:ipod,iphone,and ipad ect. still use power when plugged in even if it is not charging.

  6. Posters Some Gr.5 students made posters to help remind people of POLLUTION!

  7. 1 hour no power instead of using power classes read and did show and share. At our school we turned off all the lights and unplugged everything. We did not use computers, ipads or lights for 1 hour

  8. Ways our school recycles: We have clothing swaps, leadership groups, and we even have a day when we recycle all the things that need to be recycled every week.

  9. Ways to green our school Get more chome books to lessen the amount of paper Getting a few solar panels Offset our carbon footprint by adding plants, a community garden,a gazebo and a pond for outdoor enjoyment. Get L.E.D lightbulbs
