Meet our dedicated teachers and counselors who support student success—from sports programs to student council, NJHS, and more. Understand the promotion policy, the new math textbook, and how to best support your child during their important middle school transition. Promotion Policy • To pass an annual course, students must earn at least two quality points per semester.
Promotion Policy • Example: A student earns a “C” 1st grading period and a “C” Second grading period
Promotion Policy • Example: A student earns an “F” 1st grading period and a “D” Second grading period
ELP • ELP Grade Enhancement is offered to students before school who have earned an “F” during the nine weeks in a core class. Transportation is not provided for ELP. • Assemblies are held with students who need ELP and they are given a letter to bring home to you. An automated call goes home to every parent whose students letter we do not get back. Make sure your phone numbers are correct.
ELP • Students may earn a quality point for the course with successful completion of ELP • The quality point may be applied to any nine-week grading period
