Collaborative Training for Duke and UNC Nursing Students to Enhance Teamwork and Patient Safety

On March 6, nursing students from Duke University and UNC-Chapel Hill gathered for an innovative training session focused on teamwork and patient safety. Divided into groups, students engaged in various exercises to identify the most effective training methods. Key activities included managing logistics to ensure students arrived on time, receiving essential information, and participating in group breakout sessions. Emphasis was placed on right-place, right-time attendance to maximize learning opportunities and maintain accurate data collection. The collaborative effort aimed to better prepare future healthcare professionals for real-world challenges.
