Juli in Luzern Focused Ion Beam Processing of Materials http://www.felmi-zfe.tugraz.at/FIB/ • Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, • Der diesjährige FIB-Workshop (DGM, DGE, ASEM und SSOM) findet am 03. / 04. Juli 2008 in Luzern statt. Der Tagungsort befindet sich direkt am See – im Hotel Seeburg. • Das Vortrags- und Posterprogramm wird folgende Schwerpunkte umfassen:  • - Tutorials zu theoretischen und gerätetechnischen Grundlagen der FIB-Technik  • Anwendung der FIB-Technik für Materialuntersuchungen mit Schwerpunkt • “3D-Mikrostrukturanalyse und FIB-Nanotomographie“ • - Zielpräparation für REM, TEM inklusive lift-out Techniken • - Mikrobearbeitung (Micromachining) & in-situ Manipulation • spezielle Präparationsmethoden für Material- und Life Science-Anwendungen • Viele von Ihnen haben sicher interessante Ergebnisse zu diesen Themen vorzuweisen. Wir möchten Sie daher bitten, uns bis zum 18. März Vorschläge für Vorträge und Poster zuzusenden: •  Die Anmeldung für Ihre Teilnahme und Ihren Beitrages (Poster oder Vortrag) können Sie an folgende Adresse senden: FIBworkshop2008@empa.ch •  Die Teilnahme ist kostenfrei. July in Luzern Focused Ion Beam Processing of Materials http://www.felmi-zfe.tugraz.at/FIB/ • Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, • The FIB Workshop of the joint working group (DGM, DGE, ASEM und SSOM) will take place this year on the 03. / 04. July 2008 in Luzern, Switzerland. The event will be held at Hotel Seeburg, situated in an attractive site directly by the lake. • Like the previous years we have planned an attractive program with talks and poster sessions on a variety of topics:  • Tutorials on theoretical and instrumentational aspects of FIB technique • Application of FIB technique for materials research in the field of: • “3D-Microstructural analysis and FIB-Nanotomographie“ • - Site specific preparation for SEM and TEM including lift out techniques • - Micromachining & in-situ Manipulation • - special FIB analytical methods for Material- und Life Science-applications • Many of you have certainly interesting results to communicate in this meeting, and we would like to invite you to give your suggestions for a presentation till 18.
