  1. Rush ChairSpring 2013Fall2013 Rob Morais ΓΜ 239

  2. Rush and its Importance • Rush is one of the most important things for a fraternity • It allows them to grow and have a future

  3. What I am looking for • As rush chair I will seek out individuals who are • Leaders • Gentlemen • Scholars • respectable • Ambitious • Visionaries • In order for our beloved fraternity to remain at the high level of success we are at and reach new heights we must strive to excellence with our current members and our prospective members

  4. How to get to find interests • An interest can be found in many places • Friend of a brother or friend • During a sporting event • At a charity event • In the student center • Anyone on campus • On Facebook page (stressed for next years freshman class)

  5. Getting to know these guys before we consider them for brotherhood • Ask them to meet up for lunch • Invite them to intramural games • Invite them to parties (make sure they know its not about the party) • Rush events! • Poker night • Bowling night • Rush parties and mixers • Regular interest meetings • Beer pong tournament • Rec center events (free and easy to enter)

  6. Why a fraternity? • A fraternity is a gateway to anything that you could possibly want • Networking • I was able to get jobs for 3 brothers in summer alone • Brotherhood • Something to do with your life at a boring school • Resume builder • Leadership • Become a part of something bigger then yourself • Not just four years, for life

  7. What do I get out of pledging? • Responsibility • Time Management • Leadership • Growth/Maturity • Brotherhood for life

  8. I’m scared to pledge because… • I don’t want my grades to drop • We enforce daily library hours during pledging which assure ample and excess time to study and do homework • I’m broke • We give opportunities for you to fundraise to help with dues and pledging expenses • I don’t want to lose my old friends • You wont lose them if you don’t want to. College is about building new relationships every day • I don’t have time for that • With pledging one is able to master time management more then ever before. You will learn quickly there is time for everything. • I don’t want to get hazed • We don’t haze

  9. DON’T JOIN A FRAT, JOIN A BRΘTHΞRHOOD
