Their presence is a guarantee of the high levelof scientific, research and educational activity of our university. • Warsaw School of Economics was founded in 1906as Poland’s first universityof economics. • Since the beginning of the economic transition in 1989, 11 out of 23 finance ministers of Polandwere SGH graduates. • Professor Leszek Balcerowicz – an SGH graduate and lectureris considered to be the mainarchitect of the Polish economic transformation after 1989.
