2. Origin Formerly Ondo State University Named after Chief M.A. Ajasin, Governor of Ondo State, 1979-1983 � his government founded the University in 1982. As a distinct University, came into being by an Act of Parliament in November 1999, as Ondo State University Name-change later to AAUA.

3. Location 800 hectares of land in Akungba-Akoko Akungba-Akoko � a small, rural community nestling among the rolling hills and spectacular granite outcrops that characterize much of Ondo State. 350 km northeast of Lagos. One hour drive from Akure, the Ondo State capital, served by an airport with three flights a week to and from Abuja and Lagos.

4. Vision To be a foremost institution that moves manpower development in the direction of self-apprenticeship; a first-class University in research, knowledge, character and service to humanity.
