  3. Universities’ CBM008 Faculty Report Edit Checks (Example)

  4. Institutional Reporting Checks • Institutions keep copy of data submitted to THECB • CBM001 and CBM002 Match • CBM001 and CBM004 Match of funded SCH within 100 SCH • CBM004 and CBM008 Course Faculty • CBM009 and Program Inventories • CBM003 and CBM004 for universities

  5. Report Relationships • CBM001/CBM004 balancing • For CTCs: Academic contact hours of the CBM001 must be within plus or minus 250 total CH on the CBM004. Technical CH on the CBM001 must be within plus or minus 250 CH the CBM004. • Universities & CTCs: Academic SCH which apply to the undergraduate limit reported on the CBM001 must be within 100 hours of the total SCH reported on the CBM004 of students who are affected by the undergraduate limit. • The hours of flex-entry classes and the hours reported in flex-entry student records are included when doing the comparison. However, hours in inter-institutional class records are not included. • CBM00A/CBM00C balancing The total contact hours of the CBM00A must be within 500 hours of the total contact hours of the CBM00C

Report Relationships cont’d • CBM004/CBM008 comparison • The Instructor Code reported on the CBM004 must have a matching Faculty Identification Number on the CBM008. • CBM002/CBM001 comparison • Student ID’s are checked between the reports and any student that is not reported on the CBM002 that was reported on the CBM001 is listed in a report that is generated above the error report. • CBM006/CBM004 comparison • Contact Hours and Semester Credit Hours reported on the CBM006 by funding area are checked to make sure they are the same as or less than those reported on the CBM004. Review is generated if it is greater than the CBM004. • CBM009/Program Inventory: authority to offer degree • title, level and CIP Code must match.

  7. Possible Review Topics • Faculty reported on CBM004 are actually teaching class • For two-year institutions: special population data that affects Perkins funds • Developmental education funding limits • Mode of delivery for courses • Review and match with Accountability System data
