  7. OBMFO Overview We offer full funeral services including: Advice, Assistance and Guidance on burial process. Help the family of the diseased conduct the necessary work. Provide financial assistance if required. Members are helping members in their most difficult times in life We will inform the community of the death news. Our volunteers will attend the Janajah prayers and burial. Automated and affordable Monthly Membership fee ($5.00 - per month - per adult) OBMFO Confidential 7

Youth Group – Urban Youth Association (UYA) Services Offered by UYA: • Academic support; • Emotional support and social support; • Helps youth with social pressures such as drug and alcohol abuse; • Helps to develop leadership skills • Organizes and hosts fund raising events and organizes a range of community activities; • Provides administrative and physical support to the OBMFO OBMFO Confidential 15

UYA – Who Can Join?? • The UYA will be empowered from youth over the age of 15 who are from Muslim families of Bangladeshi descent or through family relation. • UYA will have Affiliates Division setup for youth under the age of 15 who wish to be membership • Presently setting up Boy/Mens Division, will be seeking volunteers for Girls/Womens Division • Can join through E-Form on our website (address to be confirmed) or through registration table in the back of the room

OMC Cemetery current status • Located at 1668 Manotick Station Rd., 28 kilometres south of downtown Ottawa • The cemetery will begin operation in June 2012 • 30 acres in size with 13.5 acres currently dedicated to burial plots The Prophet (SAW) said: An intelligent person is one who is constantly thinking about and preparing for death (Tirmidhi) OBMFO Confidential 33

  37. Will according to Hadith “It is not permissible for any Muslim who has something to will to stay for two nights without having his last will and testament written and kept ready with him.” [Narrated by al-Bukhari, al-Wasaayaa 2533].  OBMFO Confidential 38

  38. Will according to Canadian Law Your will or testament guarantees that your property and assets will be regulated according to your desires. Without a Will, there is no mechanism in place to make a bequest. No matter the value of your assets, you have the right to decide who will manage your estate after your death, and how your assets will be distributed. Without a Last Will and Testament (“Will”), these very important decisions will be made by the government. In Ontario, the Estates Administration Act regulates the manner in which people will be selected in order to manage the assets of your estate. Part II of the Succession Law Reform Act (SLRA) sets out who is entitled to share in those assets, and in what proportion. The results that arise under these statutes may not be a desirable outcome for your family’s particular needs and likely not the results you intend. OBMFO Confidential 39
