  2. Who is Mustafa Kemal Ataturk? He is considered a hero by most of the Turkish descent and also by many leaders around the world. He is the one who established democracy, under a single rule party in Turkey. Mustafa went to military school and joined the Turkish army in 1905.

  3. What did Mustafa Kemal Ataturk do for his society? His goal was to modernize his country to make it a unified national capital of development and defense. He fought corruption and banned traditional Turkish dress, swapped alphabets from Roman to Arabic. Turkey was a State.

Mustafa's Mausoleum The mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk is located in Ankara and was designed by architects Professor Emin Onat and Assistant Professor Orhan Arda, whose proposal beat 48 other entries from several countries in a competition held by the Turkish Government in 1941 for a “monumental mausoleum” for Atatürk.

  8. Mustafa Kemal Ataturk Death During 1937, indications of Atatürk's worsening health started to appear. In the early 1938, while he was on a trip to Yalova, he suffered from a serious illness. After a short period of treatment in Yalova, an apparent improvement in his health was observed, but his condition again worsened following his journeys first to Ankara, and then to Mersin and Adana. Upon his return to Ankara in May, he was recommended to go to İstanbul for treatment, where he was diagnosed with cirrihos of the liver.
