  2. FIRE • BIGGEST INVENTION by Mankind. • Very SOURCE of LIFE. • Stepping stone for CIVILISATION. • Worshipped as GOD by many Religions. • AGNI in INDIA & HEPHAEST-US in GREEK. 3 headed AGNI (The Knower) The Hindu God of fire riding a goat ( symbol of sexual force) Alternatively born from the friction of two stones, 7 Chaste wombs, and “ of the waters”

  3. THE BIGGEST DISASTER THREAT • Homes, Hotels, Cinema Halls, Theatres, Departmental Stores, Shopping malls, Arcades, School & Colleges, Hospitals, Offices, Banks, Post Offices etc. ALL OF THE PLACES MENTIONED HERE ARE PRONE TO FIRE. • CROWDED public places and OLD STRUCTURES are more prone to fire outburst. • Most of these are highly INFLAMMABLE.

  4. FIRE HAZARD • 75- 80 % FIRE happens at NIGHT. • 75- 80 % CASUALTIES in these fire struck building and venues die due to SMOKE-SUFFOCATION. /DISEASES related to smoke inhalation- ‘ASPHYXIATION’. • Only 10 % die of real physical BURN. • Rest 10 % die of SHOCK OR FEAR.

  5. THE REAL THREAT! A fire breaks out what do we do. ………CALL a fire brigade ………use a handy fire extinguisher. In most of the cases we are unable to reach the fire extinguisher or use it effectively and the fire brigade does not arrive before the fire reaches the critical point leaving us with no option but to try and escape. Escaping becomes extremely difficult not due to fire itself but the smoke that it creates … WHAT OPTIONS DO WE HAVE TO TACKLE THE PROBLEM THAT THIS SMOKE POSE AT US? During a fire in a smoke filled environment how do we reach that life saving fire extinguisher or even reach to a phone device? We cover our face, crawl or get strangled…or?

  6. OR….USE

  7. UTILITY Personal Safety & Rescue Operations.Poison-gas-protecting Respiratory apparatus

  8. SALIENT FEATURES • LIGHT WEIGHT about 450 GMS • 3-YEAR shelf life • Product has three varieties depending on TIME RANGE30-40-60mins. • It is EASY TO WEAR and use to escape the difficult times of Fire and smoke. ONE SIZE FITS ALL. • It DOES NOT SUPPLY OXYGEN but filters all other harmful gases and chemicals alongwith particulate found in smoke, and helps us breathe only clean oxygen. • It PROTECTS your SENSITIVE FACE AND HAIR from heat upto 400OC.

  9. FEATURES…HOW DOES IT WORK? • A personal respiratory protective device for escape from fire. Protects against smoke and CO (Carbon Monoxide) inhalation. • Fits entire head completely. Covers head and hair, facial hair and glasses. • Strong, fire-resistant, protects the entire head and the Elastomeric cotton neck band helps seal comfortably at the neck . • Large visor, made of flame retardant transparent film, allows a wide field of view and reduces chances of claustrophobia. • Stainless Steel Cartridge. • Testing of our X Cape smoke masks confirms a high percentage of filtration of Carbon Monoxide, Acrolein and Hydrogen Cyanide!

  10. MATERIAL COMPONENT • Aluminum fire- resistant. • A unique breathing device, enables rapid exhalation and improves the physiological conditions for the user, preventing built-up of heat or vapourinside the mask . • A filtration unit containing low pressure electrostatic particle filter, impregnated charcoal cloth layers to absorb toxic gases. • Catalyst (Hopcalite- Copper and Magnesium, oxides, used for Carbon Monoxide Oxidation, ie. Converting Carbon Monoxide to Carbon Dioxide.)

  11. TECHNICAL FEATURES • Smoke Particulate MatterToxic Gases • Swirling Smoke carries solids along with gas. Usually these particulates are coated with chemicals created by the fire. As smoke enters the airways, it not only chokes off the air supply; it carries the particulates into the mouth, throat, and lungs. Tissues become irritated, lose their ability to absorb oxygen, and ultimately are destroyed. Suffocation and death follow. Filtration Medium • Specially formulated material inside the canister filter traps particulates before they can reach the mouth and throat. Breathing is free and easy; throat and lung tissues are protected. Much can be survived in a fire if the throat and lungs are protected from particulate matter; even serious burns can be survived, but a small amount of smoke can damage for life - or even kill.

  12. SAFETY CODE COMPLIANT • The Production Facility is an ISO 9001: 2008 certified plant. • Approves of EN equivalent standard and CE compliant. • Public Security Standard GA 209- 1999 Issued by PRC. • Applied to BIS for ISI standard mark.

  14. BREAKING NEWS Uphaar Cinema fire From Wikipedia. The Uphaar CInema fire, one of the worst fire tragedies in recent Indian history,[1] occurred on Friday, June 13, 1997 at Uphaar Cinema, Green Park, Delhi, during the premiere screening of Border, a patriotic Hindi movie. 59 people died and 103 were seriously injured in the subsequent stampede; most of the victims were trapped on the balcony and were asphyxiated as they tried to reach dimly marked exits to escape the smoke and fire,[2] and found the doors locked.[3]
