  3. Why Optimize Your Site for Search Engines? • You want to drive traffic to your site • You want users to buy or “do” something on your site. • Users usually go to the site’s on the first page of the search engine’s results. • You are competing for the attention of the user.

  4. I used keywords in my metatags located in the header tag. I used wordtracker.com to help me come up with different words to use that a user will probably use in a search engine. <meta name="keywords” content="Art Institute of Atlanta, fine dining, Fine Dining, Creations, recipes, art institute of atlanta, restaurant recipes, restaurant in school,culinary school, culinary, French cuisine, french food, french restaurant, french cuisine, french food recipes" /> What are the techniques I used?

  5. Also, I put the title and description of the site in in the designated areas in the flash file. What are the techniques I used?

  7. What are the techniques I used? • In addition, I submitted the site to Google Analytic’s website. That will show complete statistics on how much traffic your site gets. With that you can determine how well your techniques are working. • Also, I submitted the site to Yahoo. Which will serve the same purpose as submitting it to Google. This helps make sure that the site is searchable on both engines.

  8. In Conclusion • Successful SEO Techniques does start with writing W3C compliant code and using external style sheets and having alternate code other than JavaScript. • Add that to the techniques, I just showed you and hopefully you will have a website with more traffic.
