  3. Aspects of the soundtrack which stood out for me. Forexample, lines of dialogue a particular sound-effect, or a musical motif. Maxine’s scream because of the gun shot which smashed a vase. “look at yourself, look at what your doing!” The tense music that was used in the confrontation with Maxine and Earl. “your just a sick little boy” “This was her home, she should of been safe here”

  5. Mise-en scene Narrative- Earl and Maxine are having a confrontational dialogue/argument until Janeece comes in and tries to take the gun away from Earl. Earl fights her off and ends up shooting Maxine. Maxine's mum-Steph and is distraught and instantly cries. Then, Earl is in disbelief and shock about what he has just done and runs away before slowing down to be then circled and trapped by the police. The clip is ended by Mrs mason supporting Steph in a friendly hug of comfort. Setting- scene ‘#1’ and ‘#3’ are set in Steph and Maxine's home where Maxine dies. Scene ‘#2’ is set in a deserted neighbourhood road. Themes- I think the themes in the clip are death, family, crime, friendship and support. Icons- The significant icon in the clip is the gun that was used to shoot and consequently killing Maxine. It represents death and the breakdown of the character- Earl. Characters- In this clip there are 5 characters but in ‘story board’ you an only see 4. which are the following: Earl: school boy, angry, mentally unstable. Maxine: school girl, scared, dies,. Steph: works at school, distraught, loves her daughter lots Mrs Mason: Head teacher, self-assured, acts as the leader who supports people.
