  3. The Bill of Rights • First 10 amendments of the United States Constitution • Listed specific individual liberties the Federal Government was prohibited to infringe upon • What are some of these liberties??

  4. Today's Activity • In Groups create your own Bill of Rights. • Take turns writing ideas and discuss why each right is important for your group. • Are they Unalienable????

  5. Ratification • 9 of 13 States required to Ratify Bill of Rights • 1791: On December 15, Virginia Agreed upon the Bill of Rights and they officially became part of the US constitution

  6. Reflection • Look at the Copy of the Original Bill of Rights on your table. • How is it similar to our “New Bill of Rights??” • How is it Different?? • What would you change about the “New Bill of Rights” now that you have looked at the original??
