CHAMPIONS 2007 ÜBER BASEBALL Torii’s Team – Andy Miller, Owner In a fitting tribute to what many suspect will be Torii Hunter's last season in a Twins' uniform, Andy Miller's 2007 fantasy baseball franchise (named 'Torii's Team' to honor the Gold Glove centerfielder) captured the league title by defeating their competitive division rival Chazz Michael Michaels 272.83 - 248.67. After finishing 2006 out of the playoffs with a 10-12 record, Torii's Team turned things around in 2007. They finished the regular season 13-9, won the Über East division by 2 games over Chazz Michael Michaels and, after an opening round bye, defeated a tough Lehtron team in the second round of the playoffs before advancing to the championship game. Counting the playoffs, Torii's Team went 11-3 down the stretch, playing their best ball when it mattered most 2007 Torii’s Team – Leading Hitters and Pitchers
2nd PLACE 2007 ÜBER BASEBALL Chazz Michael Michaels Nate Chown & Matt Flesch, Owners Despite a 2-6 regular season finish, Chazz Michael Michaels managed an 11-11 final record and earned a playoff spot via a tie-breaker thanks to an offense that finished third in scoring during the Über League regular season. The team, co-owned by Nate Chown and Matt Flesch, awoke from their season-ending swoon to defeat the 12-10 BullsHitters in the first round of the playoffs. CMM then topped 300 points for the third time in the season to upset a team in Round 2 that, with a 15-9 record and over 230 points scored per game, many considered to be the Über League’s most formidable– Nate Bright’s Dogg Pound. It was on to the Championship game for CMM where they met a red-hot Torii’s Team. Falling behind early, CMM managed to match Torii’s Team the rest of the way but could never overcome the early deficit. Still, it was a promising finish for Nate and Matt. 2007 Chazz Michael Michaels – Leading Hitters and Pitchers
DIVISION CHAMPIONS 2007 BEST RECORD, MOST POINTS ÜBER BASEBALL Dogg Pound – Nate Bright, Owner With a 3-4 record after the first third of the season, the Über League didn’t know what to make of Nate Bright’s Dogg Pound. What the Dogg Pound showed them the rest of the season, however, was nothing short of brilliant. Starting in Week 8, the Dogg Pound went 12-3, emerging from the middle of the Über pack to win their division by two games, earn a first round playoff bye, put together the league’s best record, and score the most points in regular season play. The team was led by a fearsome group of hitters. David Wright, Eric Byrnes, Barry Bonds, and Bobby Abreu all topped the 300 point mark on the regular season, and Orlando Cabrera and Adam Dunn were not far behind. Starter Josh Beckett and closer Takashi Saito anchored a solid pitching staff. Hopes were high entering the playoffs, but an outstanding effort by Chazz Michael Michaels left the Dogg Pound’s title dreams unfulfilled. 2007 Dogg Pound – Leading Hitters and Pitchers
