This project, led by Alex Angulo, Fred Engness, Tanya Jackson, and Austin Saucier, highlights the complexities of hunger in America through a structured storytelling approach. Our greatest challenge was scheduling our volunteer hours around class commitments. We tackled this by meeting after every class and utilizing diverse volunteering opportunities. Our story flow included an introduction, an examination of stereotypes, real-life statistics, and a conclusion to provide a comprehensive understanding. We learned about media portrayals and developed tools for effective information sharing, reinforcing our role as stewards of public information.
