  2. Consumable Kit Changes • Removed 1/8” hardboard sheet • Added 1/2” plywood sheet • Removed 1/4”-28 nylon nut • Added 1/4”-28 nylon screw (for igus rod end bearing) • Increased rotary potentiometer quantity from one to two

  3. Consumable Kit Changes Continued • Added #10-32 x 3/4” hex head screw • Added painters tape • Removed 1/4”-20 x 4” eyebolts (for 2012 game) • Removed 9V battery • Removed large 10A micro switches

  4. Returnables Kit Changes • Added three wire sensor terminal cable • 2 minimum per kit • Added roller blade wheel and axle • Changed quantity of two wire sensor terminal cable • maximum of 6 per kit now • Removed Bourns' rotary potentiometer

  7. 2013 Kit Related Rules Changes • Allow use of painters tape on all Returnable Kit items except the Joystick • If your Joystick has been stripped and the back cannot be attached, tape will be fine to keep the back in place.

  8. 2013 Avoidable Kit Issues • Fried motor controllers due to sloppy wiring • Warn students about shorting out the motor controllers • Improved units are in development • Stripped servo gears due to overload • Warn students about applying external loads to the servos
