  1. Widgets – fun things for your blog’s sidebar

  2. In the Weblogs tab, click on the Design section of the appropriate blog. This is where you will find the Widget gallery.

  3. A gallery full of widgets for your blog

  4. The Widget that I will use as an example is the Odeo podcast player, which can be found in Widgetbox- another Widget provider.

  5. In order for the Widget to work, you need to provide it with details of your podcast feed- i.e. Where your podcasts are on the internet.

  6. As the Widget instructions stipulate, by clicking on this link I will be given an HTML code, allowing the Widget to locate the podcasts, and thereby put a player on the blog.

  7. Copy this HTML code onto your clipboard.

  8. Paste the code here from Odeo, and then Add to TypePad

  9. Will automatically add the widget to your sidebar. You can decide exactly where you want it to be in your sidebar by using the Design tab.
