Introduction • This course introduces the students to the student’s role as an educator by emphasizing principles of teaching and learning. • The course will give special attention to the elevation of health awareness and changing their attitude and health behavior within of their cultural background.

  3. objectives • After completing the course ,the students should be able to: • Identify the principles of teaching and learning. • Understanding of teaching –learning theories. • Discuss the steps of teaching –learning process. • Discuss the teaching strategies.

TOPICS • Definition of learning and teaching concepts. • The role of the teacher and learner. • Teaching –learning theories. • Learning needs , motivations ,and change behavior. • Planning and conducting classes. • Teaching strategies. • Analysis of competencies by domains and level of learning. • Planning a health education program • Evaluation and choosing evaluation devices.
