  2. Jim Crow Laws • Jim Crow Laws arose after reconstruction ended in 1877 and continued until the mid 1960’s

  3. Jim Crow Laws • This Affected so many African Americans because they didn’t have the right that they should because of Race. • They also were hit and made fun of because of how they looked.

  4. Jim Crow Laws • “Separate But Equal” • This is Powerful to me because it is stating that African Americans will get stuff equal and separate but they wont have it cleaned or nice it could be all nasty but it didn’t matter to the whites.

  5. Jim Crow Laws • “You don’t have the ride the Jim Crow Bus” • This was important because African Americans because they could not sit were they want they would have to sit in the back and if they didn’t they would get arrested.

  6. Jim Crow Laws • Jim Crow: A Racial caste system which operated primarily but not exclusively in southern and border states, between 1877 and the mid 1960’s.

  7. Jim Crow Laws • In Mobile, Alabama, curfews ordered African Americans off the streets at 10 o’clock each evening • If African Americans did not obey they would be imprisoned.

  9. Jim Crow Laws • They Did This To Discriminate Blacks • And To Show What Blacks Platform Is To • What Whites Believe In.

  10. Jim Crow Laws • Signs That little White Boys Carried Talking About Not Wanting To Go To The Same School As Little African Americans.
